Telfar Wins the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund 2017

After a four month long journey which includes studio visits, challenges, collaborations and fashion shows finally the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund was announced. Telfar, was declared as the winner and was awarded a monetary prize of $400,000.

Telfar was founded in the year 2005, by Telfar Clemens. The runner-up prizes of $150,000 was awarded to Ahlemand Chromatwhich came into existence in the year 2014 and 2010 respectively whileAhlemManai-Platt was the founder of Ahlem andBeccaMcCharen-Tran was for Chromat.

On winning the first position, Clemens informed that they are very particular in the style segment and his label mostly defines horizontal, democratic, universal form of clothes which are comfortable for both men and women to shop for.

 

During the CVFF fashion show, his designs were the point of attraction and were admired by the celebrities sitting on the front row at the Chateau Marmont. Telfar follows the latest trend in designing fashion collections which ranks them the top in the list.

In order to promote his brand, Clemens has chosen a unique way of teaming up with White Castle thus creating 21st century stylish outfit.

McCharen-Tran too defines her fashion style in a creative way. As she is from an architectural background, she uses are engineer’s precision for designing swimwear. She has also worked with Intel for designing some of the responsive garments.

She showcased her immense talent in the NYFW shows too where swimwear for all sizes and genders were promoted.

Talking about Ahlem, who belongs to Venice Beach, California, known for designing sleek eyewear, one can shop for these eyewear at Abbott Kinney store along other household goods.
